Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Fri. Nov. 23, 1979

MARION- Asa R. Randall, 58, Rt. 1, died Nov. 20 at Veterans Hospital in Ann 
Arbor where he had been a patient since Oct. 2.

Born March 10, 1921 in Ionia County, he was married to the former Lena A. 
Bakeley.

He was a World War II veteran, a member of Clair Chapter D.A.V. and the 
American Legion at Saranac.

He is survived by his wife, Lena, 10 children, Raymond, Benjamin, Melvin, all 
at home, John of Muir, Harold of Saranac, Mrs. Chet (Ruth Ann) Toth, U.S. Navy, 
Marian Mickelson, Candada, William Olsen, in the Airforce, Phillip Olsen, in 
the army; four sisters, Mrs. John (Donna) Clack of Orleans, Mrs. Ted (Lula) 
Bacon of Edmore, Mrs. Porter (Ellen) Clack of Ionia, Mrs. James (Marian) 
Parizek of Latrobe, Pa., and 20 grandchildren. One son, Russell, died in 1969.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday from the Fosnaught Funeral Home in 
Marion with the Rev. Clair Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Middle 
Branch Township Cemetery.

Marion Blue Mountain V.F.W. Post 6015 will conduct a military graveside 
service.
