Coroner Dale Kauffman ruled death due to carbon monoxide poisoning. The youth was found in his car by Portland police behind the Brush school in Portland about 12:30 p.m. Sunday. Investigation was made by Ionia county sheriff’s department and Portland police. Born May 23, 1951, in Palo he was the son of Floyd and Helen Rounds Randall. He attended the Muir school and was a 1970 graduate of Portland high school. He was a member of Portland Baptist church and employed by Don Sarger as a plasterer. Surviving besides his parents are two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Wilson of Lyons and Patricia at home; five brothers, Gerald of Muir, Larry of St. Johns, Dale of Portland, Alan of Pomona, Calif., and Kevin at home; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Edith Randall of Ionia. Until noon Wednesday the body will be at Shaw-Rivett-Hull funeral home in Muir. He will then be taken to Portland Baptist church for services at 2 p.m. Rev. Maurice Christenson will officiate and interment will be at Tuttle cemetery.
