Frederick Daniel Randall, former Ionian, a retired Congregational minister of Chicago, who died last Saturday, was interred at Tuttle cemetery near Ionia on Tuesday afternoon with Rev. M. S. Decker, pastor of the Church of Christ, in charge. The pall bearers were Albert and Charles Randall, brothers of the deceased, Burton Kingston, Arthur Randall, Almon Bowerm and O. Schmidt. Rev. Randall was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Randall, who were early settlers of this county, coming here from New York city in 1864, before the close of the Civil War. Due to ill health several years ago, Mr. Randall gave up the ministry and was engaged in governmental work at the time of his death. He was a graduate of Chicago Theological Seminary of 1890. he served pastorates in North Adams, Fredonia, Grandville, Alamo and Mulliken. He was known throughout the state as a pastor of exception ability and was a real friend and advisor in time of distress. He is survived by a widow; a son, Rolln B; two sisters, Mrs. Orella Kingston and Mrs. Sarah Bowerman; six brothers, Willard, Albert, Charles, Theodore, Solomon and Asa Randall. His son, Earl, died from scarlet fever in New York city last May and was buried at Tuttle cemetery.
