Randell, 60, of 5433 East Bluewater Highway, Ionia, was dead on arrival at Ionia County Memorial Hospital early Sunday after suffering a heart attack. He was born July 22, 1944, in Lyons Township, the son of Dewey and Bernice Waters Randell. He graduated from Ionia High School with the Class of 1942. A well-driller and farmer, he was also employed as a tool and die maker by General Tire and predecessor companies for the past 32 years. He was married to the former Marguerite Cline on Nov. 16, 1946. Active in Lyons Masonic Lodge, F & AM, No. 37, he twice served as worshipful master. He also served as recording secretary for Local 420, United Furniture Workers of America, of General Tire, and was a member of the Michigan Well-Drillers Association. Surviving are his wife, three daughters, Barbara Pearson of Ionia, Lorraine Ross of Ionia and Teresa Wireman of Orleans, five grandchildren, and his mother, Bernice Randell of Ionia. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the First Christian Church in Ionia, with the Rev. F. Michael Valentine officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Muir Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established for the Lyons Temple Association, in care of Hull Memorial Chapel, Muir, where visitors may call until noon Wednesday.
