Howard Jay "Randy" Randolph of Portland, age 87, formerly of Delta Township, passed

away Feb. 2, 2012 in Okemos, MI. Randy was born October 29, 1924 in Jaclson, MI to 
the late Howard A. and Rebecca V. (Sivyer) Randolph. He married late wife, Margaret

E. (Geyer) September 8, 1945 in Wixom, MI. Randy retired from the U.S. Postal 
Service; was a WWII Navy and Marine Veteran; and member and usher at Delta Center, 
Trinity, Portland and Mulliken United Methodist Churches. He was also a member of 
Central Michigan Lapidary & Mineral Society (Past President); Delta Center 4H Club;

National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) (2nd Vice President); Portland

Riders Horse Club; and Faceting Group (of Gems).

Randy is survived by daughters, Nancy (Dennis) Fleming of Dimondale, and Jan (Les) 
Dassance of Portland; grandchildren, Heidi (Dave) Zens, Erin (Jeremy) Hoard, and 
Larry (Abby) Dassance; 5 great-grandchildren, Brandi Lee and Jasmine Zens; Haley, 
Emma and Logan Dassance. He is preceded in death by daughter, Patricia.
A Memorial Gathering will take place Saturday, February 11, 2012, 2-4 p.m. at 
Portland United Methodist Church 310 Bridge St., Portland, MI. Memorial 
contributions may be made to Alzheimers Association, 5303 S. Cedar St. Bdg. 1, 
Lansing, MI 48911 or Great Lakes Caring Hospice Foundation 900 Cooper St. Jackson,
