Portland Review - Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010

Margaret Elizabeth (nee Geyer) Raldolph, of Portland, age 85, formerly of Delta 
Township, passed away August 29, 2010 in Okemos, MI. She was born July 16, 1925 in 
Royal Oak, MI to the late Delbert and Lettie (Russell) Geyer. She married her 
husband Howard Jay Randolph, September 8, 1945 in Wixom, MI. She attended U of M and

L.C.C., and was an accomplished pianist, organist and piano teacher. Margaret 
performed in many area productions including Mudges Follies, Holiday Wishes, and 
Portland Theatre. She also served as the pianist/organist at several area churches.

She retired from Delta Center Elementary School where she worked as a secretary for

20 years. She and her husband enjoyed collecting Indian artifacts, rocks, and 
minerals.

Margaret is survived by husband of 65 years, Howard (aka, Randy); daughters, Nancy 
(Dennis) Fleming of Dimondale, Jan (Les) Dassance of Portland; grandchildren, Heidi

(Dave) Zens, Erin (Jeremy) Hoard, and Larry (Abby) Dassance; great-grandchildren, 
Brandi Lee and Jasmine Zens; Haley, Emma and Logan Dassance; sisters, Ruth (Jack) 
Bone; brother-in-law, Harold Ortwine; 2 nieces; and 2 nephews.

She was preceded in death by daughter, Patricia, sister, Audrey, and a nephew.

A memorial gathering will take place Saturday, September 11, 2010, from 2-4 p.m. at

Portland United Methodist Church, 310 Bridge St. Portland, MI. Memorial 
contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 5303 S. Cedar St. Bldg, 1, 
Lansing, MI 48911. Arrangements by Holihan-Atkin Funeral Home, Grand Ledge.
