Mrs. Walter H. Ranger, 72, of Lyons passed away at the Ionia hospital Saturday 
evening, June 3 following a long illness.  She was born August 12, 1877, the 
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Dilley of Charlotte.  The family moved to Muir 
later and she graduated from the Muir High School in 1876.  She was married to 
Walter H. Ranger of Lyons, November 4, 1896.  They had lived in Lyons about 52 
years.  She was a member of the Lyons Methodist Church, a life member of 
Evergreen Chapter OE.S. and a member of the Lyons Research Club of which she 
was a past president. 

Survivors are the husband, one son Howard C. Ranger of Chillicothe, Ohio and 
four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, June 7, from the home with 
Rev. Myron E. Hoyt officiating.  Burial was in the Lyons cemetery.
