The Ionia County News, Thursday, February 13, 1947


Funeral service for Mrs. Marian Ranger was held Sunday afternoon at the home.  
Rev. Gerald Jacobs conducted the service and Edward Peckins of Portland, 
Alfred Faxon, Francis Peckins, Harry Gardner, George Buchanan and John 
Currigan acted as bearers.  Interment was in the mausoleum at Ionia.

Mrs. Ranger would have been 91 years old in March.  She is survived by a 
daughter, Mrs. Jessie Shorts, of Kent City; a son, Walter, of Lyons; two 
grandchildren, Howard Ranger of Chillicothe, O., and Mrs. V.H. Enan of Grand 
Rapids; several great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Bell Phetteplace, of 
Portland.
