Belding Banner - Thurs. June 27, 1895


Edwin Ranney died at the residence of his son, J. Ranney, in Hungerford, 
Tuesday morning of heart failure. His remains were brought here for Interment 
in the Otisco cemetery yesterday. Brief services were held in the Baptist 
church. The deceased was eighty-four years old and settled here on the Vincent 
farm in 1854. His wife died 27 years ago and was buried in this cemetery, by 
whose side his remains were deposited. A son, J. Ranney of Hungerford and 
daughter, Mrs. M. Smith of Baldwin accompanied the remains here. His other 
children live in Colorado.
