Belding Home News, 4 Sep 1879

Died – In this village, Sept. 3, 1879, of cholera infantum resulting in
congestion of the brain, Glenn S., son of C. S. and Nettie Ranney, aged 9
months.  Little Glenn was taken sick about one week before death, and with the
disease was also teething.  On Sunday it was thought to be dying, but rallied
and seemed much better.  On Monday night the disease went to the head, and after
severe suffering was relieved by death a little after midnight on the date
named.  Funeral at residence at 10 a.m. to-day, conducted by Rev. E. Mudge.
