The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, April 30, 1924

The funeral service for Harry Ransford was largely attended from the residence 
of his son, Guy Ransford, 519 Hall street, Tuesday afternoon, at 2:30 p.m.  
Rev. Charles J. Kruse of the Methodist Episcopal church conducted the 
service.  The music was furnished by Mrs. Fred. S. Howard and Thomas Baird.

Those from away to attend the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Shaw and 
daughter, of Grand Rapids; J. F. Field and family, of Owosso, and Mr. and Mrs. 
C. Turner, of Rockford.  About 15 friends of employees from the Field factory 
at Owosso attended the service in a body.

The bearers were co-workers at the factory and were: parker Palmer, Orvil 
Kanzie, Elmer Koviste, William Greenthal, M. H. Hayes, and Alfred Kauffman.  
Burial took place in the family lot at Highland Park cemetery.
