The remains of Miss Nellie Ransom were brought to Muir Saturday noon from 
Detroit and laid to rest in the family lot at the local cemetery.  Miss Ransom 
passed away at the home of her brother, Chas. Ransom, in Detroit, on Wednesday, 
and was about 55 years old at the time of her death.  She was the eldest 
daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Geo. Ransom, who resided in Muir for so many years.  
Miss Ransom gained her early education here and later studied music both in 
American and European schools.  She maintained music studios in New York City 
for several years.  Miss Ransom is survived by her brother, Chas. Ransom, of 
Detroit, and a sister, Mrs. Carrie Arnold, of Tennessee.
