The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, June 15, 1932
Charles D. Ransom, a son of the late Rev. George E. Ransom, of Muir, died his 
home in Marshall Monday.  Funeral services are to be held in Marshall 
Thursday.  Burial will be there.

Mr. Ransom was born in Muir 69 years ago.  He lived there until grown to 
manhood.  Early in life he became identified with the banking business and was 
for a time the cashier of the National bank in Ionia.  Later he was employed 
by a bank in Detroit.  He had been in poor health for two years but critically 
ill for the past four weeks. 

Surviving Mr. Ransom is the widow and one sister, Mrs. Carrie Arnold, of 
Tennessee.
