                                 RANSOM

Donld Duane Ransom age 70 of Ionia passed away January 21, 2023. he was born 
April 16, 1952, in Ionia the son of Howard and Vivian (Snyder) Ransom. Don 
attended Ionia Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1971. He enlisted in 
the Army after graduating, serving from 1971 to 1977 honorably discharged as a 
Sergeant.Don worked for Ionia County as the Physical Plant director from 1990 to 
2014.

Don enjoyed golfing, fishing, and going on cruise ships with is wife.

Surviving is his loving wife, Janice ransom of iOnia.Daughters:Alicia (Michael) 
Bohn of Orleans and Nicole (Adam) Cook of Eagle.Grandchildren, Cadence Bohn, 
Connor Bohn, Jacob Donald Ransom and Alexis Cook. Brother Ron Ransom of Ionia. 
Niece Heather (John) Wenzel of Merrill. Nephew Eric Saurbek of Iona. Sister-in-
law Deborah Ann (Carl) Collins of Houghton Lake and Diana (Jerry) Vincent of 
Florida. Brother-in-law Jim Snyder of Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents and Sister Carol Snyder.

Funeral services will be at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia Monday,January 30, 
2023, at 11:00 a.m.. Visitation will be Sunday 1-3 and 5-7 at Funeral Home.
