Belding Banner-News Thursday March 22, 1962

                                 Mrs. Letha Mae Rasey

Mrs.Letha Mae Racey, 70, died Wednesday morning at Belding Community Hospital. 
She had been in failing health several months, and seriously ill about three 
weeks.

Mrs.Rasey, nee Letha Mae Moon, daughter of Abe L. and Anna (Buell) Moon of 
Smyrna, was born June 26, 1891 at Smyrna.

She was married May 31, 1916 to Carl L.Rasey of Greenville, in that city.He died 
in August 1950.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs.Elizabeth Pratley of Marshall,Mrs.Mary 
Jane Bollinger of Kalamo and Mrs.Josephine Elliott of Abingdon,VA.. Also two 
sisters,Mrs.Florence Farnsworth of Lakeview and Miss Melvina Moon of Blding; two 
brothers Clayton Moon of Grand Rapids and Miles M.Moon of Albion; 11 
grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew.

Mrs. Rasey was an active member of the Baptist Church of Belding where she was a 
Sunday School Teacher and Church Historian; a member of the Flat River D.A.V. 
auxiliary and a number of church, civic and neighborhood organizations.

Funeral services were held from the Fitzjohn-Courser funeral Home Saturday, the 
Rev.John Rumohr of Belding First Baptist Church officiating.Interment was in the 
River Ridge Cemetery.

friends and relatives from Virginia, Battle Creek, Grand Rapids, Marshall, 
Homer, Muir, Ionia, Lakeview, Marion, Litchfield, Lansing, Portland, Okemos, 
Kalamo, Coral and this city attended the funeral.
