Ionia Sentinel – Tuesday, 30 September 1955
Harold D. Rasmussen, 29, of 800 Church Street, Saranac, died Monday night at 6 
o’clock at the University of Michigan Hospital at Ann Arbor.

Mr. Rasmussen was born June 6, 1926 in Easton Township.  He graduated from 
Belding high school in 1943; was in the Navy for two and one-half years; and 
was an automobile salesman for George Coe Jr. and Poff-Lapo Sales at Lake 
Odessa until ill health confined him to his home.  He was a member of the 
First Presbyterian church and was married to Marjorie Hague, August 24, 1947.  
Survivors are his wife, Marjorie; father, John Rasmussen, of Easton Township 
and one brother Eldon of Easton Township.

Funeral services will be Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Presbyterian 
Church.  The Rev. George Rentschler will officiate and interment will be at 
Easton cemetery.  The body will repose at Myers funeral home after 11 am 
Wednesday.  The family requests that flowers be omitted and those wishing send 
contributions to the Rev. George Rentschler for a memorial fund to be used by 
the American Cancer Society.
