Ionia Sentinel Standard, 24 Sep 1966

John Rasmussen, 75, a well-known Easton township farmer, died at his home Friday
evening at 7:30.  He was born in Denmark, November 24, 1890 and came to the
United States in 1906.  He purchased his present farm in Easton township in
1908.  November 27, 1912 he married Sylvia Snell who died in 1946.  Mr.
Rasmussen had made two return trips to Denmark, one was this summer with a brother.

He is survived by one son, Elvon of Easton township; two grandchildren; two
brothers, Peter Peterson of Greenville and Anton Rasmussen, Pompano Beach, Fla.;
two sisters, Mrs. Johanna Peterson, Greenville and Mrs. Andrea Ladwig, Pompano
Beach, Fla.; two sons, Dewain and Harold, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 o’clock at Stone-Kauffman funeral home. 
Burial will be in Easton cemetery located on the family farm.
