Alice M. Rasmussen, 88  of Easton Township, Belding died Saturday morning May 
10, 2014 at Spectrum Health in Greenville.  Alice was born on March 28, 1926 in 
Ionia, the daughter of Albin and Hilma ( Dahlstrom) Swanberg. 

She graduated from Ionia High School with the Class of 1943.  In earlier years 
Alice was a volunteer at the Ionia Hospital, was a member of the Zion United 
Methodist Church, Ionia and was active there in the women’s group.  She will be 
greatly missed by her family and friends.  Alice was married on July 26, 1945 
in Ionia to Elvon R. Rasmussen. 

Alice is loved and survived by her husband, Elvon and their children; John and 
Judy Rasmussen of Freeland, Karen and Jeff Stroven of Brighton, her 
grandchildren; Jason Rasmussen, Jennifer and Todd Kammer, James Rasmussen, Hans 
Stroven, Sven Stroven, Kirsten Stroven, Dana Stroven, Greta Stroven, Freya 
Stroven and one great grandchild Alayna.  Alice was preceded by her parents and 
two brothers; Robert and Edgar. 

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Zion United Methodist Church, Ionia 
with Pastor Cliff Allen officiating.  Committal prayers will be in Easton 
Township Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Johnson-
Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.  Memorials may be given to the Zion United 
Methodist Church.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
