The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, June 20, 1941


Funeral services for Mrs. Lillian May Rasmussen, 61, who died at 3 o’clock 
Thursday morning at her home in Lyons, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from 
the Lyons Methodist church.  The remains will be at the church for an hour 
before service time.  Interment will be at the Lyons cemetery and Rev. H. 
Howard Fuller will officiate.

She was born in Missouri in 1879 and later moved to Iowa.  She was married to 
R.N. Rasmussen in Iowa and they moved to Lyons with her father, V. D. Wood, 
when they were still a young married couple.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Livingston of Lyons, Mrs. Mable 
Chick of Ionia; one granddaughter, Miss Ruth Livingston of Lyons; a sister, 
Mrs. Jennie Reichter of Ionia and three brothers, Clinton of Pewamo, Frank of 
Lansing and Jesse Wood of Flint.
