Mrs. Grace Rathburn, 78, route three, died at 2:30 Friday afternoon at Peasley 
rest home.  She was born February 21, 1885, the daughter of William and Susan 
Johnston, and was married at Lakeview November 13, 1907 to Ray Rathburn.  He 
died February 16, 1957.  A son Cecil also preceded her in death May 25, 1941.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Haskins of Orleans; four sons, Henry 
Rathburn of route three, Clinton of Pewamo, Clayton of Fort Bragg, S.C., and 
Forest of Hudson, Ind.; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one sister, 
Sister Anna Jewell of Sagle, Idaho; and two brothers, George Johnson of Muir, 
and Gerald of Ionia.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Myers funeral home and burial will 
be at Easton cemetery.

Funeral service for Mrs. Grace Rathburn, 78, of route three, who died Friday 
afternoon, was held Monday at 2 p.m.  The Rev. Floyd Emshwiller, pastor of 
First Christian church, officiated and interment was at Easton cemetery.

Bearers were grandsons of Mrs. Rathburn and included Carl Haskins, Jr., Jerry 
Rathburn, James Gasper, Robert Rathburn, Steve Rathburn and David Rathburn.

Relatives and friends attending from away were Mr. and Mrs. Manley Black of 
Bedford, Mrs. Pearl Black, Mrs. Helen Black, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Black and 
Mrs. Ethel Scarbough of Battle Creek; Mr. and Mrs. Olin Smith of Lyons, Mr. 
and Mrs. Kenneth Ward, Mrs. Vernol Scutt and Mrs. George Miller of Portland; 
Mrs. Hubert Ries of Stanton, Mr. and Mrs. George Johnson and Mrs. Lucille 
Clements of Muir, Mr. and Mrs. James Johnson of Orleans, Mr. and Mrs. Ford 
Lincoln of Lakeview, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Losey, Mrs. Lena King and Mrs. Letha 
Rogers of Marshall; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Vance, Mrs. Clara Caston and Mrs. 
Nicholas Wirtz of Pewamo, and Mrs. Pearl Blasen of Saranac.
