Asa Raymond Rathburn, 73, of route three, Ionia, Easton township died Saturday 
evening, February 16 at Butterworth hospital. He had been in ill health since 
last October 29.

Born September 16, 1883 he was a son of William Frank Rathburn and Ida 
Brockway. He had resided at his present address for the past 30 years and was 
employed at the Ionia Manufacturing Co. for 12 years.

Surviving are his wife, Grace and sons and daughters, Henry and Clayton of 
Ionia, Clinton of Pewamo, Forrest of Vickeryville and Mrs. Thelma Haskins of 
Orleans and 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are 
two sisters, Mrs. Edna Smith of Lyons and Mrs. Pearl Black of Battle Creek.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon, February 19 at 2 o'clock 
at the Myers funeral home. The Rev. Robert Watt of Lyons will officiate and 
interment will be in Easton cemetery.
