Mary Lou Ravell, 73, of Sheridan, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, at Spectrum 
Health Center Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids.  She was born July 13, 1929 
in Fenwick the daughter of Robert and Thelma (Haysmer) Comstock.  She has been 
a longtime resident of the Sheridan and Fenwick areas.  Mary Lou married 
Richard G. Ravell in Grand Rapids on June 14, 1950.  She was a retired school 
teacher having taught in area schools for 25 years.

She is survived by her husband Richard G. Ravell; children Mark and Gail 
Ravell of Fenwick, and Kenneth and Becky Ravell of Belding; five 
grandchildren, Renae, Amanda, Hilary, Spencer, and William Ravell; and one 
sister-in-law Joanne Doty of Portland.  She was preceded in death by parents 
Robert and Thelma Comstock.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Stebbins & Simpson 
Funeral Home in Sheridan, with Reverends Ken and Lillian Downing officiating.  
Visitation is today from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Stebbins & Simpson Funeral 
Home.  Interment will take place at the Palo Cemetery.  The family suggests 
memorial considerations to the Sheridan Elementary School Library.  Envelopes 
will be available at the funeral home.
