Mrs. Ravell had been a resident of Belding and vicinity for the past 50 years. She and her husband, George, who survives her, had spent their winters in Florida for more than 20 years with Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Little. The Littles, in turn, spent their summers in Belding. Mrs. Ravell was born Nellie Hemenway on January 29, 1870 in Missouri. She was married to George Ravell on December 28, 1893. She formerly worked at the White Silk Mill in Belding. She is survived by her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Sarah Holmes of Lansing, Mrs. Alfred Hansen of Muskegon and Mrs. Harold Scane of Detroit, two sons, Watkin of Route 3, Belding, and Friend of Traverse City, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a sister, in Battle Creek. Her body will arrive by train in Grand Rapids Thursday at 8:30 a.m. It will be brought to the Fale-Huffman funeral home in Belding. Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Lester Clough, pastor of the Methodist church of which she was a member, officiating. Interment will be in Green cemetery. In addition to being a member of the Methodist church, Mrs. Ravell was a member of the West Otisco Farmers club, the M-44 club, the Green Ladies Aid and the Lakeland, Fla. Tourist’s club.
