Beatrice Gillson Mills Raven passed away April 19, 2007 at the Masonic 
Pathways in Alma, Mich.  Bea was born July 19, 1915 to Clyde and Hazel Miller 
Gillson.  

She married Stanley Mills on November 27, 1988.  He passed away December 15, 
2000.  Bea and Stanley had four daughters, Patricia (John) Davis, Doris 
(Roger) Warren, Shirley (Elmer) Ferris and Judy (Keith) Woodbury.  She is 
survived by 22 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren and 51 great-great 
grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Bernice Gillson’ and several nieces and 
nephews.  She was predeceased by two grandchildren, John Davis Jr. and Stephen 
Warren; two great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; her parents, 
two sisters, Mamie (Harry) Elliott and Lotis Marie Gillson.

Bea owned and operated Mills Restaurant in downtown Muir for 28 years.  She 
was a life member of the Lyons Eastern Star.  She was a 4-H leader in the 
Lyons-Muir area for 15 years.  She was loved and respected by her family and 
will be sadly missed.  She just got tired—what a mom!
