Ionia Sentinel, 2001

Eugene Ray, 65, of Saranac, passed away at his residence July 11, 2001.  He was 
born August 15, 1935 in Pikeville, Ky., the son of Dewey and Gladys (Biggs) 
Ray.  He married Helen Burleson on August 15, 1970, in Auburn Heights.

He is survived by his wife who resides in Saranac.  He was preceded in death by 
his sister.

Funeral Services for Mr. Ray will be Friday at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac 
with Pastor Holmes officiating.  Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.  Visitation 
is Thursday, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the funeral 
home.  In lieu of flowers please make contributions to Ionia Area Hospice.  
Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
