The daughter of Oral and Theresa Bunting, she was born in Mount Pleasant, on Aug. 21, 1919. She married Dalton Barnes Rayborn on Sept. 2, 1939. Irene was a wonderful homemaker and loving helpmate throughout their 74 years of marriage. Irene was a former Girl Scout leader, active in PTO, served in several capacities at First Baptist Church, Belding, was a member of the Birthday Club, Thimble Club, a former league bowler and an avid golfer. Survivors include a son, Richard (Sharon) Rayborn of Wausau, Wis.; daughter, Carol (Ray) Bentley of Hillsdale; grandsons, Jeff Rayborn of Wausau, Wis., Scott (Maryne) Bentley of Monroe; a granddaughter, Jennifer (Wayne) Smith of Wausau, Wis.; six great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Lucile Bollman, Mount Pleasant; a brother, Miles (Elaine) Bunting, Mount Pleasant; and sisters-in-law, Ladonna (Calvin) Havekost, Mount Pleasant, and Mary Bunting, Belding, plus several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dalton Rayborn; grandson, Christopher Bentley; brothers, John, Olin and Elton Bunting; and sister-in-law, Pat Bunting. Cremation has taken place at Irene’s request and burial will be in Two Rivers Cemetery, Mount Pleasant, at a later date. A celebration of Irene’s life will be 11 .m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Belding. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Arrangements are through the Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.
