Sentinel-Std. - Friday, July 29, 1977

LAKE ODESSA- James E. Raymond, 22, of 1018 Washington Blvd., died Thursday 
afternoon at Pennock hospital in Hastings where he had been a patient for 
two days following an extended illness. 

He was born September 28, 1954 at Hastings, the son of Jerry and Shirley 
Leslie Raymond and attended Lakewood high school.

He married the former Deborah Harwood, November 1, 1975 in Lake Odessa and 
attended Grand Rapids Reformed Bible college for one year.

He was a member of Grace Brethren church. 

Mr. Raymond was employed by the village of Lake Odessa as a sewage plant 
operator and had been employed as a physical therapist at Blodgett Memorial 
hospital in Grand Rapids. He also worked with the Crossroads youth group in 
Lake Odessa.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Aaron J.; his parents, Ms. and Mrs. 
Jerry Raymond of Lake Odessa; one brother, Rocky of Bloomburg, Pennsylvania; 
two sisters, Mrs. Gerri Kaufman and Tammy Raymond of Lake Odessa and nieces 
and nephews.

Funeral services are Sunday at 3pm at the Pickens-Koops funeral chapel in 
lake Odessa.

Burial is in Lakeside cemetery.
