The Lowell Ledger, Thursday, May 6, 1954


Fred N. Raymond, retired Saranac businessman and well known throughout this 
area, died at his home Thursday following a long illness.  Funeral services 
were held Sunday afternoon at the Morris Funeral Home in Saranac and burial 
was made in South Boston cemetery.

Mr. Raymond was formerly a resident of Lowell and South Boston.  He was 
manager of the Huntley Drug Store for several years and operated an insurance 
business for 36 years before selling last February.  Mrs. Raymond died in 
January of this year.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Mert Sinclair of Lowell, and Mrs. Harlie 
Hunter of Saranac, and four nephews.
