MEREDITH KENT RAYMOR
Meredith Kent Raymor, 39, of route 1, 4470 Bluewater highway, died Friday 
morning at Sparrow hospital in Lansing where he had been a patient three and 
a half months.

Mr. Raymor was born in Easton township April 23, 1927 and was the son of 
Howard E. and Ida R. Raymor. He lived his entire live in Ionia county 
attending Ionia high school and in his senior year enlisting int he Navy in 
World War II. He served in the Navy with overseas duty in the Philippines.

Following his discharge form the Navy, Mr. Raymor returned home and attended 
Western Michigan University two years.

Returning to Ionia he married the former Marian Benedict of Saranac on June 
18, 1949 and was employed at Ionia Manufacturing company approximately ten 
years. He then accepted a  job at Fisher Body in Lansing, where  he worked 
until he was hospitalized. Mr. Raymor was also a self-employed painter.

He attended EUB church in Ionia and was a former member of AmVets and Moose 
Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, Marian, two sons, Joel Raymor and Stephen Raymor, and 
a daughter, Pauline Raymor; two brothers, Elwood Raymor of Greenville, Robert 
Raymor of Muskegon, and two sisters, Ruth Robinson of Inglewood, Calif. and 
Betty Hoy of Ionia.

Rev. Lloyd Walker will officiate at funeral services at Boynton funeral home 
Monday at 1 o'clock. Internment in Balcom Cemetery. The family will be at the 
funeral home Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
