John Read of Hubbardston passed away Saturday night at the home of Mrs. Thomas 
Herald there.  Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon from the 
Hubbardston Methodist church at 2 o’clock with the Rev. Park Newcombe, pastor 
of the church, officiating.  Interment will be made in the West Side cemetery.  
Arrangements are in charge of the Burns Funeral Home of Carson City.

Mr. Read was born in Hubbardston October 20, 1872.  Surviving is a sister, Mrs. 
Ruby Harris of White Plains, N.Y. and a nephew, Leonard Read of Bronxville, N.Y.
