The Ionia Sentinel, Monday, August 14, 1978
Lowell – Lula Read, 82, of route 1, Lowell, died Saturday at Ionia Manor.  

She is survived by two sons, Thomas of Fenwick and Marvin A. Leach of American 
Samoa; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. 

Services are Tuesday at 1 pm from the Roth-Gerst funeral home with Rev. George 
L. Coon officiating.  Burial is in Alton cemetery.  The family will receive 
friends and relatives at the funeral home Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9  pm.
