He had long been a sufferer from asthma, but death was not looked for at this time. The attending physician gives heart failure as the cause of death. Deceased was a brother of George Rector of this city, and was a resident of South Ionia for a time up to about a year ago, when he returned to the old farm home. This he sold only ten days ago, intending to move the house onto a lot in Ionia, where he expected to spend his declining days. Besides the widow, who is very much of an invalid, he leaves one daughter, Mrs. Harry Ellison of Easton. Funeral on Tuesday morning, 9:30 at the late home, and 11 at the Easton church, with interment in the Easton cemetery.
