Arleta passed away on March 6, 2010, just prior to her 82nd birthday. Arleta was born at the home of her parents in Lansing March 16, 1928. She was married to her teenage sweetheart, Robert Reddin, on June11 1949 and they celebrated their 60th anniversary last summer. On their 50th anniversary they spent three months on an enjoyable tour of Alaska. She was an avid gardener and took Best-in-Show with her roses and lilies at the Eaton County Fair. Arleta and Bob carried her pots of pineapple plants all over the country in their fifth wheel and she enjoyed giving them as gifts to her friends and family. They traveled throughout the southwest in their motor home and had fun camping on the Navaho Reservation. Arleta and her family traveled through most all of the United States and went on cruises whenever she could. She and Bob traveled extensively in Europe and brought home antiques from the places they visited. Arleta liked to watch birds and animals wherever they traveled. She enjoyed watching roadrunners and collected items with roadrunner motif. She also collected items antique dishes and figurines. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Clela VanAmburg, and son- in-law, Allan Luttig. Surviving is her loving husband, Robert Theodore Reddin; daughter, Pamela Reddin Luttig; and son, Kenneth Robert Reddin. She also leaves behind grandchildren, Ryan (Sheri) Reddin, Brian Reddin, and Amber (Tony) Buonodono and three great-grandchildren; siblings, Elaine (Marv) Thrasher, Georgia Haines, Doris (Dick) Babbit, Donald (Lisa) VanAmburg, and Lois (Allen) Smith and her good friend, Carolyn Cross. Arleta Reddin’s ashes will be interred at the North Eagle Cemetery at a later date. There will be a memorial service that will be announced in the paper. We would like all who read this to remember that Arleta was a considerate person who was devoted to her husband,, family and friends, and she will be missed so very much by all who knew and loved her.
