Ionia Weekly-Standard - Fri. Jan. 1, 1909


Sebewa – West Sebewa, Dec. 28. – Henry Redegeb died at the home of his 
daughter, Mrs. Henry Treece, Wednesday of last week, of pneumonia. He came here 
from his home in Iosco County on Dec. 16th, and was ill at that time. Mr. 
Redegeb was born in Seneca County, Ohio, 70 years ago and came to Michigan at 
the age of 16. He enlisted in the Mechanics and Engineers in 1861 and served 
all through the war. His wife died about 25 years ago and he moved from 
Whitmore, Iosco County, to Sebewa, where he has since resided. Mr. Redegeb is 
survived by two brothers and one sister in Ohio, and four children; Mrs. 
Treece, Sebewa; Mrs. Bronson, Irvin Redegeb, Iosco County; Eli Redegab, of the 
M.A,C, at Lansing.
