                        WELL KNOWN IONIA WOMAN DIES SUNDAY
             Mrs. R. L. Redemsky Passes Away Sunday Afternoon at 
            Daughter's Home in Grand Rapids After Extended Illness

After patiently battling with pernicious anemia for several months, Mrs. R. L. 
Redemsky died late Sunday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lee 
Alvord, at Grand Rapids, where she had spent several weeks while being treated 
by Grand Rapids specialists.

Born in Germany 68 years ago, she came to this country at the age of 20, ad 
during the time spent in this vicinity had made a wide circle of warm friends 
whose companionship she so easily cultivated by her sweet Christian character.

Brief services were held from the home of he daughter in Grand Rapids Monday 
and the body was brought to the home in Ionia late in the afternoon. Services 
will be held here Wednesday at 2 o'clock. The funeral cortege will then go to 
St. Johns Lutheran church of which she was a member, and services will be 
conducted there at 2:30 BY Rev. Gross of Grand Rapids. Both services will be in 
English. Burial will be in Highland Park cemetery.

Surviving are her husband, R. L. Redemsky; four sons, William, Fred, and Irvin 
of Ionia; Reinhold of Saginaw, and two daughters, Mrs. Charles Schnell of 
Ionia, and Mrs. Lee Alvord, of Grand Rapids. John Speckin, Louis A. Speckin, 
William Speckin and Fred H. Speckin of Ionia are her brothers and Mrs. Ec. 
Schafer, also of Ionia, is a sister. 

Mr. Redemsky is associated with the Redemsky Fuel and Ice company and the coal 
company's office will be closed all day Tuesday and Wednesday.
