Ionia Sentinel Standard, 2002

Roberta Reed, 88, of Ionia passed away Sunday, May 19, 2002 in Grand Rapids.  
She was born June 22, 1913 in Middleton, the daughter of Charles and Mae 
(Miller) Downing.  She went on to marry Erwin Reed June 22, 1930, in Alma, who 
preceded her in death Aug. 31, 1996.

She is survived by her son, Gene E. Reed of Ionia; daughter, Joan (Robert) 
Smith of Sterling Heights; brother, Cleon (Thelma) Downing of Colorado; 
sisters, Hope (Robert) Shore of Florida and Joy (Pete) Brink of Alma; five 
grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great, great-grandchild.

Cremation has taken place and at her request there will be no service.  
Arrangements were made by Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.
