Reed who died Wednesday at his home were held Saturday afternoon at the Ionia Church of Christ at 2 o’clock. The Rev. Wayne Davis officiated. Masonic services were conducted by Post Master Bert Fox as acting master, Frank Harkness as acting chaplain, Marvin Smith as senior warden and Elwin king as junior warden. Members of the Knights Templers acted as honorary escort. The church was filled to capacity including members of the Masons, Knights Templers, Banner Grange and the church board sitting in groups. Mrs. Florence Winchell and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Waldron had charge of the flowers and Mrs. Mable Bloomer presided at the organ. Bearers were Leland Hicks, Walter Yeomans, Frank Judevine, Russell Sessions, Earl Curtis and Claud Stowe. Interment was in Balcom cemetery. Out of town relatives and friends attending were Mrs. Hattie Jackson and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Summerhayes and family of Jackson; Mrs. Jack Costello of Chicago; Herbert Robb of Cedar Springs, Ont.; Mrs. Carl Lowrey and Mrs. Georgia Adgate of Saranac, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Roush and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Reed of Lake Odessa, and Mr. and Mrs. Earl F. Goodrich, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Higley and Mr. and Mrs. John Christie and daughter of Grand Rapids.
