Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Sat. Feb. 23, 1991


IONIA- Nora B. Reed, 71, a lifelong resident of the Ionia area, died Friday.

She was born on October 21, 1919, in Ionia.

She married Ray E. Reed on May 31, 1940.

She was a lifetime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church I Ionia where she 
taught Sunday School during the 1960’s. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother in Ionia 
for 15 years.

Surviving are her husband; three sons: Philip of Grand Rapids, Bill of Stanton, 
and Thomas of Ionia/ eight grandchildren and one great-grandson; one brother 
and five sisters.

She was preceded in death by five brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 24, at St. John’s 
Lutheran Church in Ionia, with the Rev. Theodore Voll officiating.

The organist will be Judy Nobis.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. 

The family will be at the Cook Funeral Home in Ionia from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 
8:30 p.m. Saturday.

A memorial has been established for St. John’s Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 
in care of the funeral home.
