Ionia Sentinel Standard, 8 May 1978

James T. Reed, 70, of 1615 Tupper Lake street, died Sunday morning.  He was born
May 19, 1907 in Isabella county, the son of John and Margaret Walton Reed.  Mr.
Reed attended Clare public schools.  He married the former Beatrice James
January 30, 1938 in Rosebush and moved to the Lake Odessa area in 1952 and into
the village in 1973.  He farmed until 1947 and was employed by Fisher Body in
Lansing, retiring in 1969.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, James of Kentucky and Eugene of Lake
Odessa; three daughters, Mrs. Jan (Venola) Figel of Nashville; Mrs. Robert
(Barbara) Robinson of Lake Odessa and Mrs. Anita Smith of Hastings; two
brothers, Irvin of Saginaw and Francis of Sunfield and 12 grandchildren.

Services are Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Pickens-Koops funeral chapel in
Lake Odessa with Rev. Patrick Neff officiating.  Burial is in Lakeview cemetery
in Nashville.
