Reed, 94, of Belding, died Sunday morning, Nov. 24, 2002, at United Memorial Health Center Long Term Care Unit. She was born July 29, 1908, in Fenwick, the daughter of Wilmer and Grace Baker Morris. Elsie was a member of First Congregational Church in Belding. She married Robert Clark Reed on Jan. 14, 1928, in Belding. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Clark Reed, in 1963; her parents; three brothers, Homer, Clare, Hartley; three sisters, Dora, Esther, Gladys; son-in-law, Arlen Badersnider; and an infant great-granddaughter. She is survived by her children, Jacquline Badersnider, Marilyn and Leo Lehman, all of Belding, Daniel W. and Nancy Reed of Ionia; her grandchildren, Todd and Carrie Reed, Lori Reed, Melissa and Kurt Kropf, Sally and Larry Ogle, Andrew and Kathy Lehman, Reed and Louanne Badersnider, Karl Badersnider, Robin Badersnider, Valerie and Dick Peacock, Suzanne Krueger; her great-grandchildren, Rena, Elaine, Daniel, Krista, Kayla, Angela, Michael, Jennifer, Isabel, Elizabeth, Ryan; her great-great-grandchildren, Drew and Jonathan; her brothers and sisters, Earle Morris of Greenville, Orval and Bertha Morris of Sand Lake, Wilmer and Ruby Morris, Fred and Maxine Morris, Phyllis Stearns, Carolyn and Forrest Sage, all of Sheridan, Wayne and Marian Morris of Shiloh, Inez and Byron Welch of Lansing, Alice and Bob Childs of Belding, Robert and Elizabeth Morris of Howard City. Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding, with the Rev. Dick Woodward officiating. Interment is in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. Visitation is 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Long Term Care Unit or a charity of one’s choice.
