Richard “Dick” D. Reed, 80, of Lyons, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home 
surrounded by those that he loved, on Thursday, November 13, 2014.  He was born 
on July 14, 1934 in Eaton County, Michigan the son of Willard and Beatrice 
(Majors) Reed. 

Mr. Reed was very well known in country music circles as a singer and guitar 
player.  He greatly enjoyed music, as well as woodworking.  Richard will be 
dearly missed by his family. 

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Virginia; son, Michael.  
Surviving are his sons, Bill (Mary) Reed, Dale (Patricia) Reed, and Danny Reed; 
10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Lanny (Cindy) Reed. 

A Celebration of Life, Open Mic Jam with pot luck dinner will be held from 4-8 
p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Cunningham Acres Dance Hall, Lake 
Odessa, Michigan.  In Lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be dropped 
off at the hall, where the family requests that the money be donated to 
Spectrum Hospice of Grand Rapids.  Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral 
Homes, Ionia.
