She was born at Croswell, Michigan, August 9, 1904, the daughter of Lyman and Edith (Miller) Beach and was a graduate of Western Michigan University and taught for 30 years in the Michigan Elementary schools. Mrs. Reed was a member of the Michigan and National Education Association; the American Association of University Women; member of the Alpha Delta Kappa; the Christ Methodist Church and the P.E.O. Sisterhood of Bradenton and the Grandmothers Club of Fairlane Acres. She moved to Floria seven and a half years ago from Allegan. Surviving are her husband, Lloyd; one daughter, Mrs.Eleanor Jean Orberg of Rio de Janiero, Brazil;3 brothers, Warren Beach of Dearborn, Alton Beach of Lexington, Mich., and Lyman Beach of Goodells, Mich.; three sisters, Mrs.Mary Hendry of Croswell, Mrs. Norma Shoot of E. Tawas and Mrs.Samatha Suter of Dearborn; two sister-in-laws,Mrs. Malcom (Iris) Tasker of Lake Odessa and Mrs. Ervie (Bernice) Howard of Dearborn; nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 at the Pickens-Koops funeral Chapel at Lake Odessa. Rev. Clinton Bradley Galloway officiated with burial in Lakeside cemetery.
