Phyllis Reed Passes Away
Mrs.Phyllis B.Reed, 73, of 719 50th Avenue Plaza, West Bradenton, Florida passed 
away at her residence Wednesday, December 21.

She was born at Croswell, Michigan, August 9, 1904, the daughter of Lyman and 
Edith (Miller) Beach and was a graduate of Western Michigan University and 
taught for 30 years in the Michigan Elementary schools.

Mrs. Reed was a member of the Michigan and National Education Association; the 
American Association of University Women; member of the Alpha Delta Kappa; the 
Christ Methodist Church and the  P.E.O. Sisterhood of Bradenton and the 
Grandmothers Club of Fairlane Acres.

She moved to Floria seven and a half years ago from Allegan.

Surviving are her husband, Lloyd; one daughter, Mrs.Eleanor Jean Orberg of Rio 
de Janiero, Brazil;3 brothers, Warren Beach of Dearborn, Alton Beach of 
Lexington, Mich., and Lyman Beach of Goodells, Mich.; three sisters, Mrs.Mary 
Hendry of Croswell, Mrs. Norma Shoot of E. Tawas and Mrs.Samatha Suter of 
Dearborn; two sister-in-laws,Mrs. Malcom (Iris) Tasker of Lake Odessa and Mrs. 
Ervie (Bernice) Howard of Dearborn; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 at the Pickens-Koops funeral Chapel at 
Lake Odessa. Rev. Clinton Bradley Galloway officiated with burial in Lakeside 
cemetery.
