Services Held for Ray Reed

Ray Reed, 72 years, of 1138 Jordan Lake Avenue, died at Pennock hospital Monday 
morning following a long illness.

Mr.Reed was born in Odessa township June 2, 1895, the son of Thomas H.and Jennie 
(Harwood) Reed and had lived in this community his lifetime. He was an employee 
of the Lake Odessa Canning Company until retirement.

In October 1920 he married Lulu M.Flint of Galesburg who survives as well as two 
daughters, Mrs Chester (Joyce) Peevy of Grand Rapids and Mrs Ellis (June) 
Shotwell of Ionia and two sons, Lewis of Ionia and Robert L. of Jackson, 19 
grandchildren and several great grand-children. Mr. Reed is also survived by two 
sisters; Mrs.Fay (Hazel) Bachelder of Grand Rapids and Mrs.Floyd (Nellie) Roush 
of Lake Odessa and one brother, Walter A. Reed Sr, of Lake Odessa.

Services were held at the Pickens Chapel in Lake Odessa Wednesday at 1:30 
o'clock with burial in Lakeside Cemetery.
