Lake Odessa Wave - Thurs. January 30, 1969

BLANCHE REED PASSED AWAY

Mrs.Blanche Reed, 88, passed away early Wednesday at Sunset Acres, near 
Hastings, where she had been a patient since last March. She was born near 
Portland March 20, 1882, the daughter of Henry and Ella (Tubbs) Townsend. She 
married Earl Reed in August, 1900, and moved to the Lake Odessa area in 1919. 
Mr. Reed passed away in June 1958.

Mrs. Reed was a member of the United Methodist Church and WSCS also the Jolly 
Dozen Club.

Surviving are a son, Lloyd of Allegan; two daughters, mMs.Bernice Howard of 
Dearborn and Mrs.Malcolm (Iris) Tasker of Lake Odessa; tree grandchildren, 11 
grandchildren; one brother Steward Townsend of Jackson, and a sister, Mrs.Myrtle 
Allen of Portland.

Mrs.Reed reposes at the Pickens funeral Chapel, Lake Odessa where funeral 
services will e held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Marvin Zimmerman will officiate 
with burial in Lakeside cemetery.
