Ionia Sentinel-Standard
Funeral services for Mrs. Electa Reed, 74, who died at Vickeryville May 23, were 
held Monday, May 25 at 1:30 from the home in North Bushnell and at 2 o’clock at 
the Vickeryville Methodist church, with interment at Maple Ridge cemetery.  
Services were conducted by Rev. Cornelius of Lakeview, former pastor here.  
Music was by Mrs. Ronald Danton, of Muir, and Mrs. K. C. Conklin with Mrs. 
Lawrence Pitcher at the piano.  Bearers were:  S. C. Lee, Oscar Maynard, Edd 
Wagner, Karl Ralph, Orman Ross and Rolla DeHart.

Mrs. Reed suffered a stroke of paralysis Sept. 11, 1934 which confined her to 
her bed and was followed by the dread disease cancer which caused her death.  
She leaves besides the daughter, Mrs. Edith Knaggs, and grandson Merle, two 
sisters, Mrs. Melissa Millar of Grand Rapids and Mrs. Zoa Harry of Milwaukee, 
Wis.; two brothers, Edd Haughawont, Miles City, Montana, and John Haughawont, 
Hancock, Michigan.  Those from away to attend the services were the two sisters 
above mentioned, a niece, Miss Florence Rowe of Chicago, Clarence Greenhoe Of 
Ionia, Mr. and Mrs. Merritt Greenhoe, Muir,  Mr and Mrs. Herbert Greenhoe, Ionia 
township, Mrs. Henry King, near Muir.
