Ionia Sentinel Standard-Fri. November 8, 1974

                               GAYLE E.REED

A native of Hubbardston, Gayle E. Reed, 52, died late Wednesday evening at Kent 
Community Hospital in Grand Rapids where he had been a patient the past month.

Born in North Plains Township near Hubbardston November 5, 1922, he was the son 
of Wilbert and Betsy Parks Reed. He attended and graduated from the Hubbardston 
High School. He entered the service during World War II serving in the Army's 
32nd Red Arrow division.

Following his discharge from the service he worked for Mitchell Bentley 
Corporation of Ionia and also Fisher Body of Lansing.

He was a member of the Walter T.Roach post of the American Legion at 
Hubbardston.

Among his survivors are a brother, Wilbert R.Reed of Madison, Wisc.; and sister, 
Mrs.Helen Seely of Owosso.
