   Excerpts from Ionia Obituary

       SONJA MARIE REED 

Died Friday, October 24, 2025-age 86 of Ionia.
Born December 12,1938, in Ionia, daughter of Kenneth & Pearl (Chapman) Ward. 
Sonja worked for many years at Jone's Jewelers in Ionia.
In her younger years she enjoyed sunbathing & snowmobiling.
Later years she loved going to the drag races in her 1964 Shasta Trailer as the 
"Mid-Michigan Grandma"
She enjoyed Zumba, Bingo & Music at the Commission on Aging.
Surviving are her sons, Rick (Deb) Reed, Randy (Rhoda) Reed & Roger (VIcki) 
Reed. Grandchildren Renee (Steve) Reed, Rachael(Chad) Haney, Ryan (Jenna) Reed, 
Matt (Chelsie) Reed, Beth(Robert) Johnson, Brent Reed & Jennifer Reed. 21 great 
grandchildren & 1 great-great-grandson. 
Step-grandchildren,Stephanie (Justin) Kiefer, Tiffany (Chris) Ryan, aWill 
(Kelsey), Beedy, Heather (Darrin) Hosfeld & Holly Clark, 18 step-great 
grandchildren. Sisters, Sue Soloman & Mary Helmer, 3 nieces & 2 nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, 1 step-great grandson & 1 niece.
Funeral services will be a the Lkae Funeral Home in Ionia on Tuesday, at Noon 
with Pastor John Prominiski officiating.
Interment in Easton Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday, from 10am until the time of services.
May make memorial contributions to Ionia Commission on Aging or the Humane 
Society.
