Reed, widow of the late Wm. F. Reed. She was the last member of a family of eight children and had been an invalid for the past seven years. Born in Lodi, Seneca county, N.Y., September 21, 1837, Mrs. Reed, whose maiden name was Jane Compton, came to Lenawee county, Mich., with her parents in 1854. It was here that she was married to Wm. F. Reed on January 11, 1860, and in April, 1874, they moved to Danby. Mr. Reed passed away 14 years ago. One son, John C. Reed, of Danby, survives. Funeral services were held at the Danby M. E. church Saturday afternoon at 2:00, and burial was in Danby township cemetery.
