Oletha Mae Reeder, age 100, of Ionia, passed away Jan. 24, 2009.

She was born Sept. 30, 1908, the daughter of George Edgar and Dora (Peacock) 
Johnson. She graduated from Ionia High School class of 1927. Oletha married 
Lawrence Reeder April 4, 1928; he preceded her in death July 18, 1969. She was 
a member of LeValley United Methodist Church and she enjoyed baking and sewing.

Oletha is survived by her children, Clark (Joellen) Reeder of Ionia, Lois 
(Charles) Eddy of Edwardsville, Ill. and Larry Reeder of Ionia; special niece 
June Pinkston; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter-in-law, Dee Reeder in 2007; 
2 brothers, Coral and Vernon; sister, Ilah; granddaughter, Susan Reeder; great-
granddaughters, Jennifer and Jaime McNally and niece Sharon Buer. 

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia, 
Pastor Dave Flagel officiating. The family received friends and relatives 
Monday at the funeral home. Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions in
