Mrs. Reeder was born at Orange township September 20, 1883, the daughter of Andrew and Anna Townsend. She had lived in Orange township for 50 years. In January 1904 she was married to Clark Reeder. He died June 6, 1923 and she was later married to Roy Reeder in 1933 and they lived in Montcalm county until his death in 1945. She had lived in her present home for the last ten years. She was a member of the First Methodist church of Ionia and the Janetta Howard Sunday school class. Survivors are two sons, Arthur, of Fenwick and Lawrence of Orange township; three daughters, Mrs. Paul Wittenbach of Clarksville, Mrs. Floyd Janes of Ionia and Mrs. Ray Jensen of Greenville; two brothers, Lynn and Clifford Townsend of Ionia; one sister, Mrs. Clayton Sible of Flint, eighteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. One son, Clarence died in 1944. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at the First Methodist church at 2 o’clock and interment will be at the family lot at Tuttle cemetery. The family will be at Boynton funeral home Friday evening from 7 to 9 o’clock. Subsequent Publication: Monday, August 15, 1955 Funeral services were held for Mrs. Erma Reeder Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the First Methodist church. The Rev. Lewis Herrick officiated and interment was in the family lot at Tuttle cemetery. The organist was Miss Joyce Larson and vocalist was Mrs. Robert Wolverton. Pallbearers were six grandsons, Clark, Larry, James and John Reeder, Robert Janes and Keith Scheiern.
